    With a few exceptions, when applying for permanent residence in Poland, you must know Polish at least at a B1 level (intermediate). Foreign children under 16 years old and those born on Polish territory are exempt from this requirement.

    Yes, you can appeal to the voivode who issued your decision. The appeal must be submitted within 14 days from the receipt of the negative decision. Remember to provide a detailed justification for your appeal and explain why you believe the decision is incorrect.

    It depends on the type of case and the office. Usually, it takes between 2 to 6 months, but in the case of complicated matters, it may take longer. We help speed up the process if there are grounds for doing it.

    It’s best to submit your application 30 to 45 days before your residence card expires. However, we recommend that you submit the application for the renewal of your residence card no later than 30 days before its expiration.
